Salmon/Trout Growth Hormone antiserum (Rabbit)

Salmon/Trout Growth Hormone antiserum was prepared by immunising rabbits with Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) growth hormone (GH). The antiserum is specific for GH from species of salmonid but carp GH, tilapia GH and catfish GH showed no significant cross-reactivity. The antiserum does not detect prolactin, somatolactin, gonadotrophin, TSH or any other pituitary hormones from fish or other species. The antiserum was designed for use in immunoassay but can be used for immunoblotting.
